Day 1 – Goa Cooking Class Tour

Goa is known for all kinds of fun and activities. Travellers from all over the world visit India to get enchanted with its scenic beauty and plush charm. Famous as honeymooners’ paradise Goa is visited by lakhs of tourist during a year and with its Portuguese style heritage, Goa is also famous for rich and amazing Goan delicacies which are one of the specialties of the state.

Through Goa cooking classes we have tried to capture that specialness and tried to bring to you this itinerary which will teach you about the special techniques of Cooking. Your journey will start with your Goa arrival, where you will meet Heritage India Holidays representative who will escort you to the house of Chef where you will unleash the chef inside you.

On your arrival at home of host, you will be welcomed with open heart. With the welcome drink you will sooth your mind, soul and body. The welcome drink includes the Masala Chai or the Neembu Pani, each will refresh you like anything. Talk with the host and enjoy the friendly aura of the city. You will love the brief excursion to the kitchen where you will enjoy learning about the different Indian spices and herbs and their different uses.

You will going to learn to cook approx 3 to 4 traditional Goan dishes which will make you the feeling of locals while preparing and savoring the dishes. The meal includes the delicious Sopa De Abobara which is generally a unique dish used as Pumpkin Soup. You will also cook the Almyache Dangar which ais prepared for Mushroom Cutlets. Along with this you will also get a chance to cook Khatkhate which is a mixed vegetable curry. In non-veg dishes you will cook Chicken Xacuti, Chicken Cafreal, Chicken Vindaloo and Indian Bread (Roti). In desert you will prepare Manganem which is prepared with Bengal Gram and Sago dipped in coconut milk.

After you done with cooking you will savor the delicacies that you have prepared and the return to hotel with lots of good memories.
